Cartilage Functions

Cartilage performs important functions inside the complex structure of our joints. Firstly, it ensures that the bones move smoothly in the joint and secondly, it can cushion and deaden loads and impacts up to seven times our body weight, thus preventing bone damage.

Around the world, millions of people suffer from lesions of the articular cartilage and their quality of life is considerably reduced because of the associated inflammation and pain.
